Day-wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station – Transfer to Phuentsholing (146 km, 4 hrs)
Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, you’ll be greeted by our representative who will assist with your transfer to Phuentsholing. Enjoy the scenic drive through tea gardens and lush landscapes. On arrival, check in at the hotel, and spend the evening relaxing or exploring the local markets at your leisure. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 2: Transfer from Phuentsholing to Thimphu (160 km, 5 hrs approx.)
After breakfast, our guide and driver will meet you to complete the immigration formalities before driving to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. On the way, enjoy the scenic view of Chukha Dam and make a photo stop at Wankha Waterfalls. Upon arrival in Thimphu, check in at the hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, visit the National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma Statue, and the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to Bhutan’s national animal. Continue to the National Library, Bhutan Textile Museum, and Clock Tower Square. Visit Tashichho Dzong, the fortress of the glorious religion, before returning to your hotel. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 4: Transfer from Thimphu to Paro via Punakha Sightseeing (128 km, 6 hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Paro, with a sightseeing stop at Dochula Pass (3100 m) for breathtaking views of the Eastern Himalayas. Continue to Punakha and visit the Punakha Dzong, an architectural marvel, and the Punakha Suspension Bridge. Afterward, visit the Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility. Continue your journey to Paro for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Excursion to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)
After breakfast, drive for 30 minutes to the trek starting point, then begin your hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The trek takes approximately 2-3 hours one way. Visit the monastery and explore the breathtaking views of the Paro Valley. Return to the hotel afterward for an overnight stay.
Day 6: Transfer from Paro to Phuentsholing (152 km, 4 hrs)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Phuentsholing. The evening is free for local shopping or leisure activities. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.
Day 7: Transfer from Phuentsholing to Bagdogra for Departure (146 km, 4 hrs)
After an early breakfast, drive to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your departure, carrying sweet memories of your Bhutan holiday tour.
